Are you in for Yin?? Remember we offer monthly co Are you in for Yin?? Remember we offer monthly community Yin classes, the next class is this Sunday, May 21st, from 6-7:15 PM! These classes are open to everyone ~ all bodies and all levels of ability. Bring family and friends! You will need a mat (available to rent at the front desk). We will provide additional props as needed. Classes are free (donations welcome). In Yin Yoga, all postures are seated or on the floor and held for long durations, about 3-7 minutes depending on the pose. This is in order to access deeper connective tissues, tendons, ligaments and fascia. Yin Yoga is a very calming and soothing practice, done either silent or with music. Great for stress reduction, peace of mind, and tranquility after a long day, therapeutic to joints and internal organs. Yin Yoga is performed in a warm to cool environment between 70-85 F. This course provides participants with the knowledge and skill required to provide 90-minutes of Thai Yoga Bodywork. Participants will gain insight into the history of the art form, technique, and self-care. In order to complete the certification, participants must also complete a practicum that requires them to provide 5 free bodywork sessions to people in their community. We can’t wait!
