Hello Bonfire Yogis,

Due to recommendations from the Oregon Health Authority and the Centers for Disease Control, we are updating our mask policy. The two sets of recommendations are slightly different; we reviewed them both thoroughly and put together the following guidelines. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆, 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟯𝟬𝘁𝗵:

· Unvaccinated individuals must wear a mask at all times while inside the studio.

· Fully vaccinated individuals may continue to practice without masks. "Fully vaccinated" means an individual who has received both doses of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine or one dose of a single-dose vaccine and at least 14 days have passed since the individual’s final dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

· To verify your vaccine status at Bonfire, you can either (1) bring your vaccine card to the studio, or (2) email a photo of your vaccine card to us at bonfireclienthelp@gmail.com. We will make note of it in your Bonfire student account, so you will not need to bring it with you each time. If you have already shown us your vaccine card please do not send it to us again. We still have it on file from the first time you verified your status.

· You must show your vaccination card to practice without a mask. Even if you are fully vaccinated, you will be asked to wear a mask if you do not present your card.

· Bonfire teachers who are fully vaccinated may instruct a class without a mask, but will wear one at all other times.

Keep in mind that we're all in different states of health, phases of vaccination, and we have different risk tolerances. All who practice with us have a responsibility to keep the community safe; either with a vaccine, or a mask. Thank you for your contribution to our safety at Bonfire!

Come to the top of your mat and towel.
Stand up on your knees.
Six inches between your knees and feet.
Get your hands on your hips, fingers towards the floor, thumbs outside.

Take a deep breath and push your hips forward towards the mirror.
Drop your head back, as far as it goes.
Go back half way, and stop in the middle.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
First, bring your right hand down, grab your right heel, thumb outside, fingers inside.
Then left hand down, grab your left heel, thumb outside, fingers inside.
Full grip with your hands / palms. Please don't lose the grip.

Take a deep breath, eyes open, exhale breathing, and
push your stomach, legs, and hips forward, as far as possible.
🌿 𝑪𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒖𝒑 🌻 and push your hips more forward.

Inhale breathing, put your hands on your hips, and come up.
Turn around, lie down, and relax in Savasana.

Gong meditation is excellent therapy for stress, depression, anxiety, fatigue, and many of the ailments that plague modern life. Gong carries you into a meditative state and supports integrative healing of the whole self. Gong vibrations revitalize the glandular and nervous systems, clear the mind, and balance our energetic systems, working at the deepest cellular levels.

In this class, you will experience a healing gong bath, crystal bowls, chimes, drum, tibetan bowls, and vocals sound, supported and integrated by guided meditation, gentle warm-ups, pranayama or singing of mantras.

While the practice of yoga asana tends to focus on the yang nature, an equally if not greater power is sure to be found in the Yin practice, as we pull our focus to the inner world. Led by Seth Brown, & drawing from teachings of yin masters Bernie Clark, Paul Grilley, & Sarah Powers, as well as experts in our community such as Jordan Lydia Verla, Janci Vandenberg, & Maui Ramos, this week-intensive training will prepare you to lead students through a yin class, to settle down & turn in. Created by Esak Garcia, Jedi Fight Club (JFC) is an opportunity for passionate yogis to step into a world of practice that has assisted numerous people in having a more complete and fulfilling experience of yoga. During this 7 day training, you will learn and practice homework exercises designed to deepen yoga postures. This JFC will be led by Jasmine Nash who has been a yoga athlete since 2012, and has trained extensively with Esak Garcia since 2014, having attended 18 Jedi Fight Club Trainings and seven e84 Trainings. Jasmine is the 2019 Canadian National champion, and has taught in over 25 countries. The creative minds at the Experience Theatre Project are putting on a fantastic 3-day event, The Westside Shakespeare Festival, showcasing Shakespeare's greatest hits and more!
