With sandy beaches, lush jungle, delicious food, and delightful locals, the opportunities to revel in the bare necessities are endless. Hiking:

There are two waterfalls in Yelapa. One is only 10 min from town center. There are vendors going up river, so this is a great place to purchase souvenirs!

The other waterfall is a 1.5 hr hike from town. Enjoy beautiful jungle scenery, animals, and exotic birds. The hike ends at a waterfall with a large swimming hole. Be prepared with hiking shoes, swimwear, and sunscreen.

Temazcal:

(Mexican Sweat Lodge) A temazcal is a traditional Mexican steam bath. Besides promoting physical well-being and healing, the temazcal is also a ritual and spiritual practice in which traditional healing methods are used to encourage reflection and introspection.

While the body rids itself of toxins through sweating, the spirit is renewed through ritual. The temazcal is thought to represent the womb and people coming out of the bath are, in a symbolic sense, re-born.

Cacao:

Cacao ceremonies are helpful for getting clarity, setting intentions, and doing healing work & inner-processing. Being in a sacred space helps you get out of your normal frame of mind, allowing you to experience new insights & perspectives.

Sound Bath:

Experience the healing power of sound, vibration, and frequency.

A sound bath is a meditative experience where those in attendance are “bathed” in sound waves. These waves are produced by various sources, including healing instruments such as gongs, singing bowls, percussion, chimes, rattles, tuning forks, and the human voice.

Beach Time:

Experience the beautiful blue waters of Mexico during a special beach day!

Swim, snorkel, banana-boat together! This is a lovely option to to explore the bay and open waters.
