About my classes

I started my Journey in Yoga almos 9 years ago and transform my self and my life.

I practice and teach both Hatha and Kundalini Yoga. I see my Hatha practice as daily maintenance a great way to work out kinks in my body, get grounded and calm. My Kundalini practice is a place of transformation. The kriyas and meditations are much more specific than your regular flow class, much like an Iyangar or Gosh practice, but rather than focusing on physical alignment, the kriyas are a specific set of exercises that generate energy, organize that energy and deliver you to a specific energetic state particularly one of greater awareness.

Also within the practice are built-in moments of stillness where we sit quietly and awaken to our Self. The breathwork within the kriyas is so powerful that it starts to strip away the layers that veil our consciousness, and in the sweet moments between poses we can sense the fullness of who we are. The kriyas work on strengthening your nervous system, balancing your glandular system, purifying the body and calming the mind.

I have practiced kriyas that have left me blissed out, high and filled with a sense of connection and joy, and others that have provoked and confronted me to the very core of who I am, both physically and mentally. I have learned to stay present and accept pleasure and pain as part of the same journey to health and balance. Our ego naturally leans towards pleasure and comfort. It takes concerted effort and discipline to begin to release the ego’s grip on our consciousness. This effort is the work required to begin to access the truth of who we are, to create a strong connection to our Soul and therefore our Soul’s work on this planet. It is where we start to make great strides toward living as an enlightened being.

Before practicing Kundalini Yoga, I had done some meditation, but it had always been elusive for me. Meditations within Kundalini Yoga are multifaceted. You can do the simplest forms, such as breath awareness or simple mantra, or explore more elaborate meditations where there is a specific breath, mantra and mudra that all work together to balance different aspects of the mind and body. When practiced for 40–120 days, the result is pure magic.

Jordan Lydia is a three-time USA silver medalist and the 2025 World Bronze Medalist. She has devoted 13 years to the 84 series, including 8 years as a teacher. Having used yoga to heal her spine from scoliosis, Jordan developed her practice from the ground up—and she will help you create yours too.

Here’s your enthusiastic announcement that we’ll be reopening at Allen with a 4:30pm Hot Flow Class on Wednesday, October 1st, 2025! Our new home has two practice spaces, so the Autumn schedule has more classes, more times, and more ways to move with us!

Keep your practice fiery in the hot room, or cultivate your inner glow in unheated Yin, Flow, and Intermediate classes! Familiar class times you love, plus fresh afternoon and evening times to fit your after-work rhythm.

Dear Bonfire Community! We wanted to share an upd Dear Bonfire Community!

We wanted to share an update on our repair and move-in timeline. In case you missed it, last Friday a sprinkler pipe in our new studio burst unexpectedly, causing water damage and the need for additional repairs. Though it’s a challenge, just like in practice, we’re leaning into patience and trust as we repair and prepare the space for you.

Looking ahead! Our plan is to reopen at Allen on October 3rd at the latest. We are quite hopeful that we can open sooner, but we’re waiting on a few final contingencies before we can make the official announcement. Please stay tuned next week for confirmation—we anticipate opening before next weekend, and we’re so grateful for this community’s patience and support as we ready the studio to welcome you back to your mat.

In the meantime, we’d love for you to join our temporary schedule during the remainder of the closure—free of charge, these classes include livestreams in the mornings and patio classes at Allen (our new location!).

As difficult and disappointing as this was, we are grateful that no one was harmed and that cleanup crews were able to come out right away to begin remediation.

We wanted to share an important update from our new home.

Yesterday at Allen, a sprinkler pipe in Studio 1 unexpectedly burst, causing some water damage in the space. Thanks to the swift arrival of an emergency cleaning crew, water was quickly vacuumed out and the extent of the damage is being assessed.

This will likely add about a week to our opening timeline, but our commitment to opening strong—and welcoming you back on the mat—remains the same.

We’ll share revised dates as soon as we have them. Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and continued support as we navigate this unexpected turn together. Please let us know if you have any questions—we’re here to help.
